Swine Account Manager Location: Southwestern Ontario

You are an accomplished, well-connected individual in the swine industry looking for an opportunity to join our team. Reporting to the Swine Business Manager, you will be responsible for achieving annual sales targets with new growth in your territory while continuing to service and maintain brand loyalty with existing customers. To succeed in this role, you will have knowledge and understanding of swine production and nutritional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote and sell Masterfeeds swine products to new and existing customers.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term business partnerships.

• Identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions, including technical advice on swine management if needed.

• Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to overall company growth.

• Complete weekly & quarterly sales activity reports in a timely manner

• Understand industry trends and competitors to identify new sales opportunities.

• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.

Qualifications:

• Proven sales experience, preferably in agriculture, livestock industry.

• A diploma or degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agribusiness, or a related field is an asset.

• 3+ years of experience in the swine or agricultural sector is a strong advantage.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.

• Must be flexible with travel and scheduling.

• Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly.

• Strong understanding of swine production systems and practices is beneficial.

Job Duties:

• Be responsible for daily chores, i.e. feeding, watering, animal health check, sweeping, scraping, and monitoring of barn temperature/ventilation

• Administer medication for treatment and prevention of disease and for unhealthy swine

• Monitor and assist sows in the farrowing process.

• Perform piglet processing duties such as, tattooing, tail clipping, castration, rupture repair procedures, and giving iron shots

• Pre-farrow/post farrow sow movements, and shipping/receiving of animals

• Remove dead animals daily and put in pickup area without crossing biosecurity line

• Keep all animals tagged and identified.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building and equipment

• Work as necessary on team projects and to finish duties daily as a team unit

• Work efficiently to maintain work schedule. Working until all work is done for the day
