We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Farm Operations & People Manager to oversee the day-to-day people and business operations at Van Raay Farms Ltd. This role plays a critical part in ensuring effective people systems, regulatory compliance, financial management, and coordination across farm activities. This position offers a hybrid working environment, with time split between an office setting and active work on the farm. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and engaging directly with on-farm operations as needed. As a key partner to farm leadership, the Farm Operations & People Manager provides the structure, oversight, and operational discipline needed to enable focus on production, growth, and long-term success.

Job Duties:

General Duties:

- Perform or assist in performing animal husbandry activities

- Implement feeding programs

- Follow safety and bio-security procedures

- Detect and treat certain diseases and health problems in livestock

- Maintain livestock performance records

- Select livestock for sale

- Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens

- Maintain inventory and order materials as required

- May supervise general farm labourers

Specific Duties:

- finishing barn chores & light maintenance at two barn sites

- washing livestock trailers at a wash bay site

- communicate effectively with system production manager

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time, On call, and Weekends. Starting date as

soon as possible, no benefits.

Skill Requirements:

- valid g license

- clean drivers abstract

- speak and write in English

- physical stamina
