OSHAB Fundraising Update – Working Towards Our Goal

The Ontario Swine Health Advisory Board (OSHAB) has initiated a request for funds from the industry to support on-going efforts about communication and education concerning PRRS, expanding projects that support regional control and elimination programs. These include expansions of the PRRS Area Regional Control and elimination (ARC&E) concept to incorporate smaller, grassroots driven control and elimination projects throughout Ontario as well as projects to assess and improve transport biosecurity and further development of the PRRS database into a more interactive system. As done for the first PRRS Project, it is our mandate to obtain commitment for financial support of the project from the Ontario pork industry, and all its’ partners, and then work to leverage your support through applications for enhanced funds from government programs.

As a key player in the Ontario pork industry, we hope you and your organization will consider supporting OSHAB initiatives.
